It’s Just the Sun Rising

South Africans are early risers – the sunrises could be one of the reasons why.  They are most certainly worth getting out of bed for.IMG_6948

When we first arrived here, I’d quite often rush outside to try and capture those early morning sunbeams.IMG_6956Now I tend to grab a cup of tea rather than a camera, but they are still worth being awake to watch.

I like this one in particular, the the sun is framed by cloud and leaves.

Everything is just a little bit more colourful in South Africa.  Especially the sun.

Every one of these pictures was taken from our house.  We are so lucky to see these spectacular skies at the start of every day.  I say we – it’s usually me that’s up making the tea or coffee.  This is my reward.

As sung by The Beloved:  It’s just the sun rising.

And the sunsets are even better, in my opinion. 🙂

I absolutely agree. Sadly we don’t tend to see the sunsets quite so well from our place and inconveniently sunset often tends to clash with mealtimes and homework. I just have to be patient and enjoy them when I can.

Yes, they really are. Previous commenter 2Summers is right though, I need to spend a bit more time trying to catch the super sunsets.
